Baghdad Bounedjah nacque nel Novembre del 1991 ad Orano, nel nord algerino.
Disputò diversi anni nelle massime leghe dell’Algeria, facendosi notare grazie alle proprie prodezze con la Nazionale maggiore dove fu autore del goal vittoria nella Coppa d’Africa in finale contro il Senegal.
Si trasferì nel 2015 All’Al Sadd, club qatariota e tra uno dei piu forti del continente asiatico, sia sul campo che a livello di marketing.
Un’autentica macchina da goal, che in questo 2021 ha contribuito all’attuale doble (campionato e coppa) dell’al Sadd, segnando ben 18 reti in sole 8 gare con una media di piu di 2 gol a partita.
Come nelle passate stagioni, le sirene di mercato per lui sono sempre accese, grazie soprattutto al modo in cui viene fatta giocare la squadra dal proprio tecnico, Xavi, ex leggenda del Barcellona, che con la riproduzione del famoso tiki taka, lo sta elevando ad una consacrazione totale dopo anni altrettanto ottimi; infatti, non è solo questo l’anno di grazia del bomber algerino, basti pensare che dal 2015 (anno dell’approdo in Qatar) ha collezionato 112 gol in 94 presenze.
