Calciomercato Asia #4: Niang e Ighalo in Arabia Saudita, Keisuke Honda alla Portimonense

Continua il calciomercato in Asia, con la chiusura della finestra nei principali mercati della Penisola Araba, ma continua ancora ad estremo oriente. In quest’ultimi giorni colpi davvero importanti in Arabia Saudita per le prime due squadre in classifica, con gli ingaggi di Odion Ighalo (Al Shabab) e M’Baye Niang (Al-Ahli), mentre Keisuke Honda sbarca in Portogallo alla Portimenense. Odion Ighalo: dallo Shanghai Shenhua all’Al-Shabab

Ora è ufficiale, l’attaccante nigeriano dopo la sue esperienza di prestito di un anno al Manchester United, viene ceduto dallo Shaghai Shenhua ai sauditi dell’Al-Shabab. Odion Ighalo (31) può essere l’arma in più per la squadra di Riyadh nella quale milita un’altra grande star come Ever banega, e che si ritrova al comando della Saudi Pro League dopo 17 giornate. Nell’ultima partita vinta per 4-1 contro l’Al-Raed Ighalo ha fatto il suo debutto negli ultimi cinque minuti di gara.

M’baye Niang: dal Rennes all’Al-Ahli

L’ex di Milan, Torino e Genoa, M’baye Niang (26) passa in prestito all’Al-Ahli in Arabia Saudita fino al termine della stagione. L’Al-Ahli è secondo in classifica alle spalle dello Al-Shabab di Banega e Ighalo. Niang andrà a formare un’entusiasmamte coppia d’attacco con il siriano Omar Al-soma. Nel corso di questa stagione Niang con il Rennes ha giocato 12 partite fra tutte le manifestazioni segnando una sola rete, mentre nelle due precedenti stagione è sempre andato in doppia cifra.

Keisuke Honda: dal Botafogo alla Portimonense

Il fantasista giapponese ha lasciato anzitempo il brasile, terra nella quale era approdato con grande clamore lo scorso anno per vestire la maglia del Botafogo. La stagione è stata però un grande disastro ed i bianconeri si trovano all’ultimo posto in classifica, già matematicamente retrocessi. Keisuke Honda (34) nel campionato brasiliano ha disputato 18 partite e segnato 2 reti prima di rescindere il proprio contratto e firmare settimana scorsa per il club portoghese della Portimonense, altra squadra in netta crisi di risultati con un solo punto di vantaggio sulla zona retrocessione.

Bjorn Johensen: dall’Ulsan Hyundai al Montreal Impact

Dopo aver vinto l’AFC Champions League con l’Ulsan Hyundai, l’attaccante norvegese (originario di New York), Bjorn Johnsen (29) saluta l’Asia per approdare per la prima volta in carriera in MLS ai canadesi del Montreal. Trasferimento a titolo gratuito per l’attaccante che lo scorso anno ha segnato per le Horang Tigers 11 gol in tutte le manifestazioni. Dunque l’Ulsan dopo la superstar Junior Negao saluta anche Johnsen.

Lee Seung-woo: dal Sint-Truiden alla Portimoense

Vi ricordate dell’ex Hellas Verona Lee Seung-woo (23)? L’esterno coreano non gioca una partita dallo scorso dicembre in Belgio a causa di un cattivo rapporto con l’allenatore e dunque è stato ceduto in prestito ai portoghesi della Portimonense fino al termine della stagione, dove troverà fra l’altro Keisuke Honda. Lee Seung-woo in questa stagione in Belgio con la maglia del Sint-Truiden ha disputato 13 partite (per un totale di soli 306 minuti) segnando 2 reti.

Morimoto: da svincolato al Sportivo Luqueno

Anche la carriera del classe 1998 ex Catania ha preso una piega davvero bizzarra. Morimoto, dopo l’esperienza non certo memorabile in terza divisione greca con l’AEP Kozanis, dove non è mai sceso in campo, attraversa il mondo per trasferirsi in Paraguay al Luqueno.

Fredick Ulvestad: dal Djugarden al Qingdao Huanghai

Il mercato della Chinese Super League è senza ombra di dubbio dormiente con tutte le limitazioni in vigore ed i nuovi nomi stranieri sono ben distanti da quelli che venivano ingaggiati anche solo due anni fa. L’ultimo nome è quello di Fredick Ulvestad (28), centrocampista norvegese acquistato dal club svedese del Djugarden. Vanta in totale 4 presenze con la maglia della nazionale norvegese.

Wilfried Kanon: dal Pyramids FC all’Al Gharafa

Probabilmente quello del difensore ivoriano Wilfried Kanon (27) è stato uno dei colpi di mercato di punta della Qatar Stars League. L’ex giocatore delle giovanili dell’Empoli arriva in prestito dagli egiziani del Pyramids FC dove in questa stagione è stato un punto fisso della retroguardia. Kanon è un profilo internazionale di spessore in quanto vanta ben 49 presenze con la maglia della Costa d’Avorio con cui ha vinto una Coppa d’Africa.

Liridon Krasniqi: da Johor Darul Ta’zim al Newcastle Jets

Infine segnaliamo questo trasferimento molto particolare, che riguarda il kosovaro, naturalizzato a malese Liridon Krasniqi (29) che lascia i campioni di Malesia del Johor Darul Ta’zim per trasferirsi in Australia nel Newcastle Jets. Il centrocampista in campo internazionale vanta due sole presenze con la nazionale U21 dell’Albania, ma quando riprenderanno gli impegni per le nazionali, potrà essere convocato dalla Malesia in quanto ha militato nel campionato locale per i cinque anni consecutivi necessari a conseguire la nuova cittadinanza.

The Nigerian striker has been sold from Shanghai Shenhua to Saudi Arabian side Al-Shabab after his one-year loan spell at Manchester United. Odion Ighalo (31) can be the weapon in arm for the team of Riyadh in which another great star like Ever banega plays, and which finds itself at the top of the Saudi Pro League after 17 days. In the last match, which they won 4-1 against Al-Raed, Ighalo made his debut in the last five minutes of the match.

M’baye Niang: from Rennes to Al-Ahli

Former AC Milan, Torino and Genoa striker M’baye Niang (26) has joined Al-Ahli in Saudi Arabia on loan until the end of the season. Al-Ahli are second in the table behind Banega and Ighalo’s Al-Shabab. Niang will form an exciting attacking pair with Syrian Omar Al-soma. Niang has played 12 games in all competitions this season with Rennes, scoring just one goal, while in the previous two seasons he always scored in double figures.

Keisuke Honda: from Botafogo to Portimonense

The Japanese striker left Brazil prematurely, the country he arrived in with great fanfare last year, to join Botafogo. But the season has been a disaster and the Bianconeri are in last place in the table, already mathematically relegated. Keisuke Honda (34) played 18 games and scored 2 goals in the Brazilian championship before resigning his contract and signing last week for the Portuguese club Portimonense, another team in crisis with only one point ahead of the relegation zone.

Bjorn Johensen: from Ulsan Hyundai to Montreal Impact

After winning the AFC Champions League with Ulsan Hyundai, Norwegian forward Bjorn Johnsen (29) is leaving Asia for the first time in his MLS career with Montreal Canadians. Wilfried Kanon: from Pyramids FC to Al Gharafa

Ivorian defender Wilfried Kanon (27) was probably one of the biggest signings in the Qatar Stars League. The former Empoli youth player arrives on loan from Egyptian side Pyramids FC where he has been a permanent fixture at the back this season. Kanon has a strong international profile as he has made 49 appearances for Ivory Coast, with whom he won an African Cup of Nations.

Liridon Krasniqi: from Johor Darul Ta’zim to Newcastle Jets

Finally, we would like to point out this very particular transfer, which concerns the Kosovar, naturalised Malaysian Liridon Krasniqi (29) who leaves the Malaysian champions Johor Darul Ta’zim to move to Newcastle Jets in Australia. The international midfielder has only made two appearances with Albania’s U21 national team, but when national team commitments resume, he will be eligible for call-up by Malaysia as he has played in the local league for the five consecutive years required to obtain his new citizenship.
