Calciomercato Asia #2: El Shaarawy torna alla Roma, Manuel Pucciarelli verso gli Emirati ed il record di spesa a Singapore

Eccoci nuovamente qua per commentare i colpi più importanti e significativi del calciomercato asiatico. Una settimana a tinte azzurre con l’imminente ritorno di El Shaarawy alla Roma e lo sbarco dell’attaccante Manual Pucciarelli nella seconda serie degli Emirati Arabi Uniti. Questi giorni sono stati caratterizzati anche dal colpo più caro nella storia del mercato di Singapore (mediato da Jorge Mendes) e dalle dimissioni di Rafa Benitez come tecnico del Dalian Pro. Siamo ansiosi di vedere se in futuro Paulinho e Talisca rimarranno a Guangzhou, e quali saranno le nuove destinazioni di grandi nomi come quelli di Graziano Pellè, Junior Negao e Alex Teixeira. El Shaarawy: dallo Shanghai Shenhua alla Roma (ancora da ufficializzare)

Il Faraone è tornato a Roma nella giornata di venerdì e dopo una stagione e mezzo in Cina con la maglia dello Shanghai Shenhua, si appresta a rescindere il proprio contratto per tornare a vestire il giallorosso firmando un contratto fino al 2022. L’affare è ancora però da rendere ufficiale, in quanto El Shaarawy, una volta arrivato nella capitale, è risultato positivo al covid-19, e dunque, le visite mediche che erano previste nella giornata di ieri, sono state rinviate a data da destinarsi. Siamo sicuri del fatto che si tratta solamente di un rinvio di qualche giorno e che El Shaarawy tornerà ad essere presto un giocatore della Roma. In questi ultimi mesi l’italo egiziano si è allenato con il proprio preparatore a Dubai, dato che la sua ultima partita risale allo scorso agosto. La sua esperienza in Cina è stata un flop totale, se non per il gol decisivo segnato nella finale della Chinese FA Cup nel 2019. Per il resto El Shaarawy non sarà un rimpianto per i tifosi dello Shanghai Shenhua.

Mathew Ryan: dal Brighton all’Arsenal

I Gunners ingaggiano per un prestito di sei mesi il portiere della nazionale australiana Mathew Ryan dal Brighton. L’estremo difensore, ex Genk e Valencia, è un profilo di assoluto spessore e vanta ben 123 presenze in Premier League accumulate nelle ultime tre stagioni e mezzo. Un portiere solido (il migliore per distacco in abito AFC) che potrà sicuramente aiutare la ballerina difesa dell’Arsenal con la speranza che questo trasferimento possa diventare permanente.

Manuel Pucciarelli: dal Chievo Verona al Dibba Fujairah

Un altro italiano in Asia: stiamo parlando di Manuel Pucciarelli, attaccante classe 1991 originario di Prato, ex di Empoli, Chievo e Pescara, che vola negli Emirati Arabi uniti per un prestito di sei mesi al Dibba Fujairah, club attualmente terzo nel campionato di seconda divisione degli Emirati. Manuel viene da tre stagioni consecutive in Serie B non propriamente esaltanti dal punto di vista realizzativo, con soli 4 gol segnati. Quest’anno con la maglia del Chievo Verona ha collezionato solamente due presenze, una in campionato ed una in Coppa Italia.

Diego Lopes: dal Rio Ave al Lion City Sailors 

Il centrocampista brasiliano Diego Lopes (26) è un nuovo giocatore del Lion City Sailors di Singapore ed è l’acquisto più caro nella storia del campionato, avvenuto per ben 1.8 milioni di euro. La figura fondamentale dietro questo trasferimento è quella di Jorge Mendes. L’agente portoghese detiene la procura di moltissimi giocatori del Rio Ave, fra cui Diego Lopes. Mendes ha anche rapporti stretti con Forrest Li, il proprietario del Lion City Sailors, che ha portato #CristianoRonaldo a firmare un contratto come brand ambassador per Shopee, l’azienda leader dell’e-commerce nel sudest asiatico. Forrest Li è proprietario di Sea Limited, che si occupa di distribuzione di videogiochi ed organizzazione di tornei videoludici.

Omar Khirbin: dall’Al-Hilal all’Al Wahda

Nel 2017 Omar Kharbin (27) sembrava essere destinato alla grandezza: capocannoniere della AFC Champions League (persa in finale contro l’Urawa) e miglior calciatore asiatico agli AFC Awards. Successivamente una serie di infortuni e l’ingaggio da parte dell’Al-Hilal di super star come Gomis e Soriano hanno bloccato l’esplosione del siriano che è passato anche per un passaggio in prestito agli egiziani del Pyramids per ritrovarsi. In questa stagione in Arabia Saudita Omar è sceso in campo solamente in 9 occasioni (per un totale di 365 minuti) segnando un solo gol ed è stato ceduto a titolo gratuito all’Al Wahda negli Emirati Arabi Uniti (squadra settima in campionato) nel tentativo di ritrovarsi

Lincoln: dal Flamengo al Vissel Kobe

Il ricchissimo Vissel Kobe nelle ultime stagioni ha investito tantissimo nell’ingaggio di vecchie glorie come Andres Iniesta o David Villa, ma in questo 2021 il primo colpo è quello del giovanissimo Lincoln (20), promessa del calcio brasiliano, di ruolo prima punta, nella stagione in corso ha disputato solamente scorci di partita al Flamengo (per un totale di 14 presenze e 272 minuti) segnando un gol e servendo un assist in campionato. Che il Giappone possa essere una rampa di lancio per questo giovane verdeoro così nello scorso decennio accadde per Hulk? Anche lo scorsa stagione il Vissel Kobe sul mercato non ha fatto follie contenendo le spese, che questa sia la nuova normalità dopo i fuochi d’artificio che non hanno permesso una costanza su alta livelli?

An Byong-Jun: dal Suwon al Busan I-Park

L’attaccate nordcoreano classe 1990 originario di Tokyo prosegue la propria carriera in seconda divisione in Corea del Sud: dopo un’ottima annata al Suwon conclusa con ben 20 gol segnati che hanno contribuito in maniera sostanziale alla promozione del club, An Byong Jun firma per il neoretrocesso Busan I-Park

Il duo di difensori croati a Shanghai

In quest’ultima settimana le due squadre rivali di Shanghai, lo Shenhua ed il Port FC (ex Sipg) hanno ufficializzato l’ingaggio di due centrali difensivi croati, rispettivamente Jonjic e Mastorovic. Con molte star internazionali che sono sul piede di partenza, questi due colpi di mercato, seppur meritevoli di attenzione per il valore dei giocatori, segnano un netto ridimensionamento dell’appeal internazionale della Chinese Super League a causa delle limitazioni.

Matej Jonjic: dal Cerezo Osaka allo Shanghai Shenhua

Il classe 1991 dopo aver giocato in Corea del Sud con l’Incheon United ed in Giappone con il Cerezo Osaka, passa in Cina alla corte dello Shanghai Shenhua. Jonjic ha giocato tutte e 34 le partite della scorsa stagione di J-League conclusa al quarto posto e sarà un rimpiazzo più che degno per Stephane M’bia che non rinnoverà il proprio contratto.

Ante Mastorovic: dall’NK Osijek allo Shanghai Port

Lo Shanghai Port, squadra di Oscar, recentemente ha ingaggiato Ivan Leko in panchina (dopo aver dato il benservito a Vitor Pereira), il quale ha fortemente voluto il connazionale Ante Mastorovic (27) il quale militava in patria dall’NK Osijek. Un profilo che a differenza di Jonjic si dovrà adattare al ‘panorama orientale’. Si tratta della prima operazione in entrata per il Shanghai Port dopo gli addii di due simboli assoluti del club come Hulk ed il centrocampista uzkebo Akhmedov.

El Shaarawy: from Shanghai Shenhua to Roma (yet to be made official)

El Shaarawy returned to Rome on Friday and, after a season and a half in China with Shanghai Shenhua, is set to terminate his contract and return to the Giallorossi, signing a contract until 2022. The deal has yet to be made official, however, as El Shaarawy tested positive for covid-19 once he arrived in the capital, and so the medicals that were scheduled for yesterday have been postponed until a later date. We are sure that this is only a postponement of a few days and that El Shaarawy will soon be a Roma player again. The Italian-Egyptian has been training with his trainer in Dubai over the last few months, his last game having been in August. His experience in China was a total flop, if not for the decisive goal scored in the Chinese FA Cup final in 2019. Otherwise, El Shaarawy will not be a regret for Shanghai Shenhua fans.

Mathew Ryan: from Brighton to Arsenal

The Gunners sign Australian national team goalkeeper Mathew Ryan from Brighton on a six-month loan. The ex-Genk and Valencia defender is a top-flight player who has made 123 Premier League appearances in the last three and a half seasons. A solid goalkeeper (the best by far in AFC garb) who can certainly help Arsenal’s shaky defence with the hope that this transfer can become permanent.

Manuel Pucciarelli: from Chievo Verona to Dibba Fujairah

Another Italian in Asia: we are talking about Manuel Pucciarelli, a 1991 born in Prato forward, formerly of Empoli, Chievo and Pescara, who flies to the United Arab Emirates on a six-month loan to Dibba Fujairah, a club currently third in the Emirates’ second division championship. Manuel comes from three consecutive seasons in Serie B that were not exactly exciting from a scoring point of view, with only 4 goals scored. This year he has only made two appearances for Chievo Verona, one in the league and one in the Coppa Italia.

Diego Lopes: from Rio Ave to the Lion City Sailors 

Brazilian midfielder Diego Lopes (26) is a new player at Singapore’s Lion City Sailors and the most expensive purchase in the history of the league, coming for €1.8m. The key figure behind this transfer is Jorge Mendes. The Portuguese agent holds the power of attorney for many Rio Ave players, including Diego Lopes. Mendes also has a close relationship with Forrest Li, the owner of Lion City Sailors, which led to #CristianoRonaldo signing a contract as brand ambassador for Shopee, the leading e-commerce company in Southeast Asia. Forrest Li is the owner of Sea Limited, which deals with the distribution of video games and the organisation of video game tournaments.

Omar Khirbin: from Al-Hilal to Al Wahda

In 2017 Omar Kharbin (27) seemed to be destined for greatness: top scorer of the AFC Champions League (lost in the final against Urawa) and best Asian footballer at the AFC Awards. Then a series of injuries and the signing by Al-Hilal of super stars such as Gomis and Soriano blocked the explosion of the Syrian, who also went through a loan passage to the Egyptian Pyramids to find himself again. In this season in Saudi Arabia Omar has only appeared on the pitch on 9 occasions (for a total of 365 minutes) scoring just one goal and has been sold on a free loan to Al Wahda in the United Arab Emirates (seventh in the league) in an attempt to find himself again.

Lincoln: from Flamengo to Vissel Kobe

The very rich Vissel Kobe in recent seasons has invested a lot in the signing of old glories such as Andres Iniesta or David Villa, but in this 2021 the first shot is that of the young Lincoln (20), promise of Brazilian football, a first point role, in the current season has only played glimpses of the game at Flamengo (for a total of 14 appearances and 272 minutes) scoring a goal and serving an assist in the league. Could Japan be a launching pad for this young Greenoro like Hulk did last decade? Even last season Vissel Kobe didn’t make a big splash in the market and kept their costs down, could this be the new normal after the fireworks that didn’t allow for consistency at high levels?

An Byong-Jun: from Suwon to Busan I-Park

The North Korean striker, born in Tokyo in 1990, continues his career in the second division in South Korea: after a great year at Suwon, which ended with 20 goals that contributed substantially to the club’s promotion, An Byong Jun signs for the newly relegated Busan I-Park.

Croatian defence duo in Shanghai

In the past week, Shanghai’s two rival teams, Shenhua and Port FC (formerly Sipg) have made official the signings of two Croatian central defenders, Jonjic and Mastorovic respectively. With many international stars on their way out, these two deals, although worthy of attention for the value of the players, mark a clear downsizing of the international appeal of the Chinese Super League due to the restrictions.

Matej Jonjic: from Cerezo Osaka to Shanghai Shenhua

After playing in South Korea with Incheon United and in Japan with Cerezo Osaka, Matej Jonjic moved to China to join Shanghai Shenhua. Jonjic played all 34 games in last season’s J-League, which ended in fourth place, and will be a worthy replacement for Stephane M’bia, who will not renew his contract.

Ante Mastorovic: From NK Osijek to Shanghai Port

Shanghai Port, Oscar’s team, recently signed Ivan Leko on the bench (after giving Vitor Pereira the boot), who strongly wanted compatriot Ante Mastorovic (27), who played in his homeland at NK Osijek. A profile that, unlike Jonjic, will have to adapt to the ‘eastern panorama’. This is the first incoming operation for the Shanghai Port after the farewells of two absolute symbols of the club as Hulk and the Uzbek midfielder Akhmedov.
