E’ con grande piacere che vi annunciamo che il secondo numero di All Asian Football Magazine è finalmente disponibile! Dalla Penisola Araba ci trasferiamo in Cina, per raccontare quello che è stato questo 2020 e lo sviluppo del calcio cinese.

Abbiamo suddiviso questo secondo numero in quattro sezioni: la prima e la terza riguardano diversi aspetti dello sviluppo calcistico cinese: inizieremo con l’analizzare l’ondata di investimenti della Cina nel calcio europeo per capire quali sono le direttive economico e politiche che hanno portato oltre trenta club ad accogliere capitali dalla Terra del Dragone.

Parleremo anche dello sviluppo della Nazionale e del calcio giovanile (sezione 3): constatato che non vi è un nuovo Wu lei all’orizzonte, e che le nazionali giovanili non riescono ad ottenere il benchè minimo risultato, la Federazione Cinese in via del tutto eccezionale ricorre alla pratica della naturalizzazione di atleti stranieri. Un goffo tentativo di nascondere la polvere sotto al tappeto, dato che Daniele D’Eustacchio, allenatore con un’esperienza di sette anni in Cina, ci racconta tutte le problematiche e le contraddizioni del calcio a livello giovanile.

La seconda sezione sarà dedicata al 2020, con il calcio post lockdown con tante testimonianze ed interviste con gli allenatori e membri degli staff tecnici, sia nelle bolle di Suzhou e Dalian, che nel calcio dilettantistico. Vi sarà anche un racconto riguardante il ritorno dei tifosi agli stadi ed il nostro lungo viaggio da Pechino a Suzhou per assistere ai playoff.

La quarta ed ultima sezione sarà dedicata a calcio e società: abbiamo intervistato i tifosi stranieri delle squadre della Chinese Super League ed analizzato la delicata situazione economico-sportiva di Hong Kong. Chiudiamo la rivista suggerendovi un bel film cinese del 2017, che racconta la storia di un bambino e del suo amore per il calcio (e Del Piero) nella città cinese di Shaoxing durante l’estate dei Mondiali del 1998.

All Asian Football Magazine #2: Post lockdown Football, the future of the Chinese Dream

It is with great pleasure that we announce that the second issue of All Asian Football Magazine is finally available! From the Arabian Peninsula we are moving to China, to tell what this 2020 has been like and the development of Chinese football.

We have divided this second issue into four sections: the first and the third concern different aspects of Chinese football development: we will start by analyzing the wave of China’s investments in European football to understand what are the economic and political directives that have led further thirty clubs to welcome capital from the Asian Country.

We will also talk about the development of the national team and youth football (section 3): having observed that there is no new Wu lei on the horizon, and that the youth national teams are unable to obtain the slightest result, the Chinese Federation now rely on the naturalization of foreign athletes. A clumsy attempt to hide the dust under the carpet, given that Daniele D’Eustacchio, a coach with seven years of experience in China, tells us all the problems and contradictions of football at a youth level.

The second section will be dedicated to 2020, with post lockdown football with many testimonies and interviews from those who managed to attend matches on a neutral pitch in the Suzhou and Dalian bubbles, to those who worked in the Chinese Super League clubs, and in amateur football. There will also be a story about the fans return to the stadiums and our personal long odyssey from Beijing to Suzhou to attend the playoff game between Beihing Guoan and Shandong Luneng

The fourth and last section will be dedicated to football and society: we interviewed the foreign fans of the Chinese Super League teams and analyzed the delicate economic and sporting situation in Hong Kong. We close the magazine by suggesting a good Chinese film from 2017, which tells the story of a child and his love for football (and Del Piero) in the Chinese city of Shaoxing during the summer of the 1998 World Cup.
